This project connects to the other project labelled Rietpoort. The first project stretches from Victoria West to Rietpoort, with this project continuing from Rietpoort in the direction of Vosburg.

With heavy traffic volumes always increasing on this section of the N12 a well needed resurfacing would prolong the lifespan of this road significantly. The Karoo boasts some of the coldest and hottest weather in the country, making designs and execution of works crucial to the success of this project.
